How we work

From enquiry to handover

A predictable path so your engineers know when to block calendar time and what artefacts to prepare.

Signed statement of work and project notes on a desk
1

Intake call or written brief

You describe the database engine, approximate table count, deadline, and whether the pain is model shape or query latency. We confirm fit and send a fee band from the rates page within two business days.

2

Statement of work and deposit

Fixed scope, deliverables, and confidentiality terms are signed electronically. A 40% deposit reserves the review window; balance is due on delivery unless retainer terms apply.

3

Secure artefact transfer

Schema dumps, anonymised slow-query logs, and diagrams upload to your preferred bucket or our encrypted share. We never ask for production write credentials.

4

Quiet review period

Consultants work offline except for one or two clarifying email threads. Mid-engagement calls are available on retainer plans only, to protect deep-focus analysis time.

5

Report and walkthrough

You receive the written deliverable, then schedule the included video session to debate priority order. Optional pairing hours can be added for implementation support.

6

Close-out

Staging copies are deleted, final invoice sent, and you keep perpetual rights to internal use of the report. Follow-up questions within fourteen days on the same scope are answered by email at no charge.
